Anergy commenced an extension to the Toronto Project in April 2021 for CHAR Technologies, Canada (TSX:YES) to adapt and modify their existing HTP process to include the off gas conversion of syngas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), including retrofitting to previously installed equipment on site.

The process design is centred around treating the volatile rich syngas from the pyrolysis stage through a gas cleaning unit, followed by water-gas shift (WGS), catalytic methanation reactions, and pressure swing adsorption (PSA) to produce Renewable Natural Gas which is exported to nearby customers.
